Price methodology

The four price states

• Confirmed — an operator-approved, evidence-backed numeric price. Only confirmed prices may be used for quotes or bookings, and always subject to the platform's booking gates.
• Recorded — a numeric price captured directly from a first-party source (an operator's own website, documented direct operator communication, or signed operator data) with the capture date kept on file, but not yet operator-confirmed. Recorded prices are labelled "Recorded from source — not operator confirmed" and are informational only.
• On request — the operator or business intentionally withholds a public numeric price. These records show "Price on request".
• Pending — no defensible public numeric price currently exists. These records show "Price confirmation pending" while the team works with the operator to confirm pricing.

The direct-evidence standard

A public numeric price must come from the operator's official website, documented direct communication with the operator, signed or onboarded operator data, or another founder-approved first-party source. Prices copied from third-party marketplaces are treated as legacy external evidence for internal research and operator outreach only — they are never displayed to the public merely because they existed before.

How this affects booking

Recorded, on-request and pending prices never flow into quotes or checkout as authoritative money. If you enquire about a cruise without a confirmed price, the team confirms current pricing directly with the operator before any booking is made.

Where this applies

The methodology currently governs the Dubai dinner cruise price page and is being extended across the marketplace. Cruise visibility on the price page never depends on having a confirmed price — every eligible cruise is listed with its current truthful price state.
