UAE Yacht Building Directory
A genuine yacht manufacturer in the UAE owns tooling, a moulding or fabrication shop and a fit-out hall — not just a sales office. When you compare builders, check four factual things: the maximum hull length the yard has built, the materials it works in, whether it offers a true custom programme or only stock models adapted at finish stage, and whether refit and dry docking happen on the same site.
Leisure yacht construction in the Emirates is largely composite. Fiberglass (GRP) yards in Umm Al Quwain, Ajman and Dubai produce sport cruisers, flybridge yachts and fishing boats, and the largest of them build composite superyachts. Aluminium and steel yards concentrate on commercial and government work — crew boats, workboats, tugs, passenger vessels and patrol craft — though several will take on large custom leisure projects.
Dubai's yards sit mainly in Dubai Maritime City and Al Jadaf, close to dry docks and marine services. Abu Dhabi's builders operate from Mussafah and ICAD, geared toward large steel, aluminium and composite programmes. Ajman and Umm Al Quwain host the traditional and composite boat-building base, including wooden dhow construction that still supplies the region's floating restaurants and charter fleets.

UAE yacht and boat manufacturers include composite leisure yards in Umm Al Quwain and Ajman, GRP and RIB builders in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and aluminium/steel shipyards in Dubai Maritime City and Mussafah. BoatFinder+ lists each company with its build range, materials, custom capability and facility location so you can compare on capability rather than marketing.
Yes. Most UAE builders run either a full custom programme (naval architecture and tooling to your brief) or a semi-custom one (a proven platform with your layout, engines and finish). Custom projects need a written specification, a build schedule with stage payments and an agreed classification or survey regime before signing.
Timelines depend on length, material and yard workload rather than a fixed rule. Small GRP craft are usually the fastest, semi-custom flybridge yachts sit in the middle, and large composite or metal vessels take the longest. Ask each yard for a written build schedule with milestone dates and confirm the current slot availability in your quote.
Several UAE manufacturers publish international deliveries and export their vessels. If export matters to you, confirm the yard's experience with your destination's registration, classification and CE or equivalent requirements before you commit.
Capability data comes from each company's own published information and, where a profile is claimed, from documents supplied by the business. BoatFinder+ does not publish awards, production volumes, market share or customer ratings, and profiles are marked verified only after our checks.
